A US Navy Boeing T-45C Goshawk training aircraft, belonging to Training Air Wing 2 (TAW-2), crashed on Wednesday (1st) in an empty field south of Naval Air Station Kingsville (NAS Kingsville), Texas.

According to preliminary reports, the aircraft (serial number B-234, s/n 167085) was conducting a routine training flight when the accident occurred during the third turn of the landing approach. The pilot managed to activate the ejection seat and escaped the incident unharmed.

First T-45C Accident in 2025

This was the first accident involving a T-45C Goshawk in 2025. The last significant record of losses occurred in 2021, when three aircraft of the same model were destroyed in different incidents.
